Scottish Preconception Health Research Showcase

Date: 26/03/2026 to 26/03/2026 Venue: Stirling Court Hotel

A Scottish Preconception Health Research Showcase will take place Thursday 26 March at the Stirling Court Hotel, bringing together insights and success stories from a collaborative community of experts, while laying the groundwork for future research ambitions

The free in-person showcase has been organised by Dr Sinéad Currie, Lead for the Scottish Preconception Health Research Network (SPHRN) — a multidisciplinary team working under the umbrella of the NHS Research Scotland (NRS) Reproductive Health and Childbirth Specialty Group.

Preconception health is crucial for improving maternal and child health outcomes by addressing existing conditions, managing risks, and optimising people’s physical and mental health — with research targeting interventions that support healthier pregnancies and child health.

For further information on the showcase — hosted by The Scottish Preconception Health Research Network and funded by The Royal Society of Edinburgh — contact Sinéad, who is a Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology with a special interest in health and well-being before, during, and after pregnancy, or the official conference email.
